April Showers!

Hello to everyone in Maesybryn Nursery!

It is lovely to have everyone back with us after the Easter holidays.

We are looking forward to a busy and successful summer term making good use of the outdoors (despite the weather!).  Sadly our wonderful igloo was destroyed by the terrible weather over the weekend but we are sure everyone will help Mrs Moore to rebuild it.

Don't forget we are celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday May 2nd.  Dress up as your favourite story book or nursery rhyme character and please donate your used books for Mbale.  You will have a big surprise when you discover who's teaching you on Wednesday that's for sure!

We are planning to make seed and bean musical shakers next week so if you have any empty containers such as pringle tubes, bottles or boxes or any seeds, beans or lentils which you could donate to us we would be very grateful.

Welcome to Owen who has joined our Nursery class this week.  He has already made some good friends and everyone has been very kind and thoughtful in helping him settle in.

More news and photos to come soon!

See you all tomorrow

A much needed update!

Hi everyone
Sorry our blog hasn't been updated for such a long time! - as you know we've been very busy in the nursery, with lots of new changes and ideas!
We're all looking forward to taking part in our school Eisteddfod tomorrow, we have been practising our St David's Day songs- maybe you can ask your child to sing them to you at home?

A big thank you to everyone who has sent in their home and family photos for our display, still plenty of time to send them in if you haven't.

We're still looking for more resources:
  •  our outdoor music making area - I wonder if anyone has an old clothes airer we could have? or any metal utensils etc for a variety of sounds.
  • natural resources e.g. shells, pebbles, fir cones etc
Our mini theme next week will be 'The 3 Little Pigs', if you have anything that would tie in or a copy of the story please label and send in so we can share them.

Hopefully next update will have some photos of our fun activities to share with you!

PS, Mrs Moore is very grateful for all the milk bottles shes received (she is making an igloo for the children!) but still needs lots more - 4 pt bottles only, washed with no label please.
